Incredible to see the project Fas Jom that I started over 3 years ago with my Project Trust partner still going strong

I was taught how to read and write at the age of 4. By the age of 10 I was tearing through Jacqueline Wilson books as if my life depended on it. I’ve studied all kinds of literature growing up, thoroughly enjoy creative writing, and still read as a hobby to this day.

I am incredibly lucky, and until now I think I took all of this for granted. The country I was born in, and have lived in for 18 years, is – in terms of education – equal. The laws which state that every child must attend school are enforced and there is no segregation or discrimination between the sexes in our schools.
